Alan Gayle is the founder and President of Via Nova Investment Management.  His 40-plus years of investment-related experience span the periods of accelerating inflation in the 1970s and the OPEC oil embargo, the tight monetary policies of the 1980s that pushed interest rates over 20%, the strong growth and stock market gains of the 1990s, the Dot-Com bubble, and the Financial Crisis. 

Prior to his success as an investment manager, Alan was the Chief Economist at a major regional bank, where he advised senior management on emerging trends and strategies.  He also testified to Congress twice on economic and regulatory issues.  He earned his undergraduate degree in economics from the College of William & Mary and his master’s degree in economics from Virginia Commonwealth University.
