2010 A Day in the Life of a NASA Food Scientist

Judge’s Comments: The informational video explains how space food is made. Any person who dreamed of being an astronaut can revisit his or her old dreams in a wonky adult way.  While the concept of freeze dried space food is familiar to most, the video takes the viewer through the steps of creating a meal. With strong production quality and compelling information, this video stands out above most other enteries.

The Dangers of Alcohol Deregulation: The United Kingdom Experience vs. American Alcohol Regulation

Judge’s Comments: The Center for Alcohol Policy’s video is both compelling and informative. They manage to capture the audience while educating viewers on alcohol related deaths and accidents, comparing rates in countries with lax regulation to the United States. To make thick policy accessible in a short video is a challenge that the Center for Alcohol Policy certainly overcame.
