J.D. Dockstader will become chief business development officer, a new position, at Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, effective Jan. 1.
Dockstader will focus on revenue generation and increasing brand awareness, with focus on areas such as international initiatives, Environmental Institute for Golf, Golf Industry Show, and new partnerships and business opportunities.
He most recently was commercial facilities director for the city of Mesa, Ariz. Among the facilities under his leadership were Dobson Ranch Golf Course, Mesa Convention Center, Hohokam Stadium, the City Cemetery and the Mesa Amphitheatre. His past experience also includes Sprint, UCCU Center and the Grand America Hotel.
