Yves Lalumière will become CEO of Tourisme Montréal, effective Aug. 19. He will succeed, Charles Lapointe, who will retire as president emeritus after leading the organization for 24 years.
Lalumière is president of Transat Distribution Canada. He joined TDC in 2006 as operations and business development VP. He was appointed distribution network VP in 2008. In 2009, he was named VP. Earlier, he served for more than 20 years in management positions at American Express, in business travel, air agreement negotiations and affairs.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in tourism from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Korn Ferry International assisted in the search. Details: www.tourisme-montreal.org.
