New CEO for International Society for Technology in Education

Brian Lewis, CAE, is the new CEO of  the International Society for Technology in Education, Washington. He succeeds Don Knezek who is departing in September.

Lewis was chief strategy officer and interim CEO at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. He previously was executive director of the California Association of School Business Officials and governmental relations director at California County Superintendents Educational Services Association.

Lewis will be introduced to nearly 20,000 educators and education technology representatives from around the world at the opening plenary session at ISTE's 33rd annual conference in San Diego this week.

Brian earned a master’s degree in communication studies from California State University, Sacramento, and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of California, Davis.
