American Lung Association, Washington, appointed Harold Wimmer as its new CEO, effective Feb. 1. COO Adrienne Glasgow has been serving as Interim EVP since March. Wimmer was CEO of the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest. He began his career with the American Lung Association of Illinois 34 years ago. Following the merger of the Illinois and Iowa Lung Associations, he served as its CEO for 15 years,and served as CEO of ALAUM since its creation. Details: www.lung.org.
Deanne Johnson de Mariño is the new executive director of the American Bankers Insurance Association, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association. Mariño has had a variety of positions at ABA and ABIA. Before joining ABIA, she was a benefits consultant. Details: www.aba.com/abia.
Emerald Coast Association of Realtors, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., hired Anne C. Rendle, RCE, as its new executive director, effective Feb. 18. Rendle was CEO of the Northeast Association of Realtors, Westford, Mass., beginning in 1998. She was chairman of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors Association executives committee in 2004. She also was a member of other MAR committees, including communications, finance, leadership development, strategic planning, and executive committee. For the National Association of Realtors, she was on the communications, leadership development, and risk management committees, and served on the Association Models Workgroup.
