Exhibit participants usually have buying influence; CEIR report

01/24/2013

Ninety-four percent of participants at events have influence over their organizations' buying decisions, according to a report from the Center for Exhibition Industry Research, Dallas. The report, Profiles of Attendees and Exhibitions, is based on a larger study conducted by the center.

The report also indicates that participants and exhibitors do not confine themselves to a single industry, frequenting exhibitions in an average of 3.2 industries and exhibitors displaying at events in an average of 2.2 industries.

CEIR research director Nancy Drapeau said that this report shows that exhibitions “offer exhibitors high-quality buyer audiences across a broad range of industry sectors.”

This report is taken from the larger study Role and Value of Face-to-Face Interaction Study Series. More than 9,000 participants and 800 exhibitors contributed to the report. Details: www.ceir.org.
