Exhibition Industry Foundation to become CEIR Foundation
The Exhibition Industry Foundation will become the CEIR Foundation effective Jan. 1. The announcement was made at the International Association of Exhibitions and Events annual meeting earlier this month in Orlando, Fla.
The new CEIR Foundation will be charged with raising money to support the research produced by the Center for Exhibition Industry Research or CEIR, which is an IAEE division.
Doug Ducate, CEM, CMP, continues as CEIR CEO, and Cathy Breden, CAE, CMP, remains CEIR executive director. IAEE CEO David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA, will become executive director of the new foundation's trustees council. Details for an annual giving campaign will be announced early next year.
In other news, IAEE installed its new officers and board this week. Jason McGraw, CTS, CAE, expositions SVP for InfoComm International, is the new IAEE chairman. New board members include Christopher McCabe, SVP, Nielsen Expositions; Martin Moggre, CEM, seals, exposition services EVP, Freeman; and Manolita Moore, MBA, annual conference director, Western Veterinary Conference.
