
Kathleen Jaeger is the new president of the NACDS Foundation as well as an SVP for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, Alexandria, Va.
At NACDS Foundation, Jaeger succeeds Edith Rosato, who has become CEO of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. She also will serve as SVP of the association's newly renamed pharmacy care and patient advocacy department. In this position, she will act as a spokesperson, as well as direct research and communication initiatives. She reports to CEO Steven C. Anderson, IOM, CAE, who is a past TRENDS Association Executive of the Year.
Jaeger most recently was CEO of the National Community Pharmacists Association (see "CEO leaves post after just several months," April 7). Previously she was CEO of Generic Pharmaceutical Association from 2000 through 2010 (see "Executive Changes," May 6, 2010). Earlier in her career, Jaeger was a partner in the food and drug practices of national law firms Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, LLP, and McKenna & Cuneo, LLP. She also has served as a hospital pharmacist at the National Institute of Health.
She earned a B.S. in pharmacy at the University of Rhode Island, and a J.D. at Catholic University. Details: www.nacds.org.
