New CEO for craft association

Andrej Suskavcevic, CAE, is the new CEO of the Craft & Hobby Association, Elmwood Park, N.J.

Suskavcevic has been CEO of the Commercial Finance Association, New York, since 2007. Previously, he was operations VP at Financial Executives International, Morristown, N.J. Before joining FEI, he was CFO at Zepter International, a cookware and tabletop company.

He earned a B.A. in finance from Montclair University and an MBA from New York University.

He succeeds Steve Berger, who departed the association in May. Berger was hired in 2003 as the executive director of the Hobby Industry Association. He became CHA CEO after HIA merged with the Association of Crafts & Creative Industries in 2004. In 2009, the CHA board extended his contract to 2011. (See "CEO departs craft group," June 9.) CHA meetings VP Tony Lee was interim leader.
