New CEO for wireless association was federal administrator

Jonathan S. Adelstein is now CEO of PCIA-The Wireless Infrastructure Association, Alexandria, Va.

He succeeds Michael T.N. Fitch, who resigned to return to Los Angeles, where is family resides. Fitch had been CEO since 2005.

Adelstein was the 17th administrator of U.S. Agriculture Department’s Rural Utilities Service. He was nominated for the post by President Obama and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate in July 2009. He had been commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission from 2002 to 2009. He has held a number of senior staff positions in the U.S. Senate.

Adelstein earned an M.A. in history and a B.A. with distinction in political science from Stanford and is a graduate of Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. Details: www.pcia.com.
