Gail Rodriguez, PhD, is the new executive director of the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance, Washington. MITA senior staff also have been reorganized.
She was promoted into the position after David Fisher left to work at Siemens, according to DotMed.com. Fisher had been executive director since 2009. In addition, Rodriguez was named a VP at National Electrical Manufacturers Association, parent organization of MITA.
Rodriguez was MITA policy director. Before MITA, she worked at Institute for Molecular Technologies.
In other moves, Charles S. Konigsberg joins NEMA and MITA as strategy and policy chief. Under President George W. Bush, he was director of congressional and intergovernmental affairs at the corporation for national and community service. For President Clinton, he was assistant director of the Office of Management and Budget. He also served in senior-level positions in the U.S. Senate under Sens. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-N.Y.), and Pete Domenici (R-N.M.).
Also, Lindsay Morris was promoted to MITA senior director from government relations director. She has been with MITA for three years. Details: www.medicalimaging.org.
