New president for fabrics association

10/11/2012

David Rousse will become president of INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, Cary, N.C., effective Oct. 15.

He will succeed Rory Holmes, who will retire in mid-2013. Holmes became president in 2003.

Rousse most recently served as CEO of HydroLogex LLC, Franklin, Tenn. Earlier he worked for Fiberweb, a global manufacturer of specialty nonwoven fabrics, first in 2005 as president of its Hygiene/Medical Americas branch before getting promoted in 2007 to president of Fiberweb Americas, Nashville, Tenn. Rouse has been an active INDA member for many years.

Before Fiberweb, Rousse was a VP at Monadnock Paper Mills and VP at FiberMark Inc. Earlier he was in marketing and sales at International Paper.

INDA elected chairman Todd Bassett said, “With Rory Holmes planning to retire in the middle of next year, the board felt it was important to begin the transition by bringing in an executive of Dave Rousse’s caliber as early as possible. With IDEA 2013 being held in Miami Beach next April, it is important to our members and the industry that the new leadership of INDA be in place for our signature event. We are pleased to be able to have Rory Holmes available to help with the transition.” Details: www.inda.org.
