The Center for Nonprofit Advancement, Washington, is accepting nominations for the 2013 Board Leadership Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership from boards of directors of nonprofits in the Washington area.
Two organizations’ boards will be selected - one for an organization with an annual budget of less than $2 million and one for an organization with an annual budget of more than $2 million. Winners will receive a $10,000 grant as well as exposure through print, television and radio. Training and development opportunities for the board and CEO also will be provided by BoardSource and the Center’s Learning & Leadership Institute.
Up to two organizations from each category will be selected for honorable mention, and will receive exposure, and training and develop opportunities, as well.
Nominees must demonstrate a steady track record of good governance and excellent leadership, as well as significant improvement that resulted in notable achievements. Organizations that want to increase their profiles and inspire stronger board leadership should apply.
Created in 2011, the award is presented by CohnReznick, an accounting, tax and advisory firm specializing in the not for profit industry.
“CohnReznick is proud to sponsor the Board Leadership Award.
