As part of a ground-breaking effort to understand what makes association websites most successful, TRENDS opened the first-ever Association Website Analytics Survey to collect website traffic and maintenance information from associations nationwide.
With the continuously shifting landscape in digital marketing, it’s essential for associations to stay up to date on industry trends and best practices. In the past year alone, associations have had to adapt to changes in Google’s search algorithm, Facebook Pages’ organic reach, Google search keyword encryption, and mobile browsing patterns. All of which can take a heavy toll on website traffic and marketing, if associations aren’t prepared.
To help executives stay on top of these changes, the Association Website Analytics Survey will illuminate industry-wide trends in mobile vs. desktop traffic, audience size and acquisition channels. Further, analysis of respondents’ websites will provide insights into the relationship between website features – such as blogs, social sharing options, and image alt tags – and website traffic and acquisition. These insights will help identify the best of the best practices and provide a series of benchmarks that association leaders can use to measure their own success.
