The average association executive compensation dropped dramatically in 2012 from 2011, according to the 2012 Compensation Report - DC. In 2012 the average executive compensation was $252,455, down considerably from the 2011 average, $302,423. Other senior positions also showed a drop in 2012, such as deputy executive director, $171,644, down from $174,305, and finance director, $127,917, down from $132,825.
