According to the 2013 Nonprofit Communications Trends Report, by the NonprofitMarketingGude.com, monthly emailing to a typical person on an email list is the most popular frequency expected by nonprofits in 2013 (42 percent), followed by every other week (17 percent), quarterly (15 percent), and weekly (14 percent). This changed only slightly from 2011 and 2012. More than three-quarters of nonprofits (76 percent) plan to email their typical supporters at least monthly, which is down slightly from 78 percent in 2012 and up from 75 percent in 2011. Three percent will mail several times a week.
