
Washington offers, on average, higher salaries for finance executives and staff, according to the TRENDS 2012 Compensation Survey. On average, finance directors in DC earn nearly two-thirds more of the salaries of their counterparts across the country, $133,502 vs. $76,706. Accounting managers in the nation’s capital also earn more, $85,252 vs. $54,268. The survey covers more than 100 positions, from support staff to CEO.
