Direct Marketing Association argued in front of the U.S. Supreme Court in DMA v. Brohl, a case stemming from the challenge of a Colorado law requiring out-of-state merchants to disclose to the state revenue department confidential purchase history information about their Colorado customers. “The court’s decision will have a significant impact on marketers’ ability to protect the data and privacy of their customers in Colorado and in the other states nationwide,” said DMA CEO Thomas J. Benton said.
American Geophysical Union unveiled Eos.org, the online iteration its flagship print newspaper, Eos. The new site will focus on providing the latest Earth and space science news. Beginning in early 2015, the print version will become a twice-monthly magazine designed to serve as a companion to Eos.org, not a print version of the site.
