 The Society of Professional Journalists, the Radio, Television, & Digital News Association and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists are co-producing Excellence in Journalism 2015, Sept. 18-20 in Orlando, Fla. Pre-workshops are available for free, but attendees must be registered for EIJ15.

Direct Marketing Association is disappointed with the re-introduction of Sen. Ed Markey’s, D-Mass., Do Not Track Kids Act. “[T]his kind of protection for children is already effectively provided through self-regulation,” DMA government affairs VPRachel Nyswander Thomas said. “Ironically, in order to enact the proposals put forth in Senator Markey’s bill, such as a ‘do not track’ button or an ‘eraser button,’ companies would have to collect more information – not less – about children online.”
