Meetings Executive Moves


Natasha L. Rankin, CAE, is now COO of the American Counseling Association. She was a senior executive with Bostrom, a leading association management company, where she served as executive director for the Employers Council on Flexible Compensation and the Greeting Card Association. In addition, Natasha previously served as the executive director of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. She has served on the CEO Advisory Board and on the review team for the ASAE annual meeting, as well as on the development committee of the ASAE Foundation. She earned a bachelor’s degree at American University.

Capt. Bill Nolan to Airlines for America as SVP of safety, security, and operations. He previously worked for American Airlines.

RAdm Thomas P. Ostebo, USCG-Ret., will become the new CEO of the Cruise Lines International Association, effective July 6. He succeeds Christine Duffy, who left to head Canival Corp. on Jan. 31. Ostebo most recently was strategic management director for the Coast Guard. He served as commander for the Coast Guard 17th District and led all Coast Guard operations in Alaska, the Arctic and North Pacific. He will work out of CLIA headquarters in Washington, and work with CLIA's 15 offices around the world. Ostebo was educated at the Naval War College, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Purdue and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Heidrick & Struggles assisted in the search.
