In the Guidestar 2013 Nonprofit Compensation Report, DC leads the country in nonprofit executive pay, now for eight years running. This is similar to the findings of the TRENDS 2013 Compensation Report. The Guidestar report also found that economic uncertainty continued to affect compensation increases.


Stewart Uretsky, CFO of the Brookings Institution, is the 2014 Nonprofit CFO of the Year. Other honorees who were announced recently are the 2014 Nonprofit CFO Transformational Leaders and the 2014 Nonprofit CFO Rising Star. They all will be honored at the 2014 CFO of the Year Awards Luncheon, Jan. 31 at the Capital Hilton in Washington.
