Judge’s Comments<\/strong>:\u00c2\u00a0 The quality of images in this publication is amazing.\u00c2\u00a0 The content is varied and all relevant to the audience, and while the stories are not lengthy, there is enough information conveyed in each to inform the audience without losing them.\u00c2\u00a0 I also like the call to action, including the pre-written letters to representatives.<\/p>\n Entrant’s Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. The magazine is carried by its two strongest features, \u201cGreen is Green\u201d and \u201cDecorated in Shame,\u201d both of which highlight a major member (and military) concern and incorporate a striking and appropriate design with quality images.<\/p>\n 2. Online extras helped make this issue pop. \u201cDecorated in Shame\u201d featured a hand-drawn mugshot gallery, which when viewed online, included pop-up information about the various phony veterans\u2019 crimes. As an item in MOAA\u2019s NEX e-mail newsletter, the military-specific tax feature \u201cBefore You File\u201d got a second life with a high click-through rate.<\/p>\n 3. This issue also included prewritten \u201ccall to action\u201d letters that members could sign, stamp, and mail to the chairs of the Committee on Armed Services.
