Public Relations Society of America, New York, wants the ability for public relations and communications professionals to edit their organizations' Wikipedia pages. UK-based CIPR, a PR association, is working with Wikipedia to allow communications professionals to suggest edits to Wikipedia editors, but PRSA CEO Gerard Corbett points out that their members currently are prohibited from directly editing pages. A spokesman for Wikipedia advises professionals to comment on an article's "talk page" instead of editing an article themselves, should they notice information that should be changed or added.
