    Association Media & Publishing, McLean VA, released its 2011 Association Publishing Compensation & Benefits Survey. The survey is aimed at helping association executives compare their media operations' compensation practices against those of other associations. Details:

    In the "What's Hot in 2011" survey by the National Restaurant Association, 55% of the chefs said they are currently using social media for professional purposes, while another 16% said they plan to start using such channels. The restaurant group surveyed 1,500 professional chefs, who are members of the American Culinary Federation. Details:

    American Forest & Paper Association, Washington, is accepting entries for its 2011 Recycling Awards, which recognizes outstanding business, community and school paper recycling programs. Deadline is Feb. 10. Organizations with award-winning programs each receive a $2,000 cash prize, a piece of original paper art, and are promoted in local and national media outlets. More paper, by weight, is recovered for recycling from municipal solid waste streams than glass, plastic and aluminum combined, according to AF&PA.
