    Finance officer promoted at Country Music Association

    Amy Smartt has been promoted to finance and administration SVP at Country Music Association, Nashville, Tenn.

    In her new role, Smartt will oversee accounting, facility operations, finance, human resources, information technology operations, and legal/trademarks administration. She also serves as secretary/treasurer of the CMA Foundation.

    Smartt joined CMA in 2006 as finance and administration senior director, and was promoted to finance and administration VP in 2009. She was named a 2011 finalist for the Nashville Business Journal's CFO Awards. Smartt is a member of the Nashville chapter of Financial Executives International and has served the organization as programs VP and secretary.

    Before CMA, she worked for nine years at Vanderbilt University, eventually rising to the position of director of the university’s student debit card office and financial operations for its business department.

    She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Tennessee Technology University and an MBA at Tennessee State University. Details:
