    New CEO for credit, collection group

    Former chief departed in November after only one year in position


    Patrick J. Morris will become CEO of ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals, Minneapolis, effective June 1. He succeeds Rozanne Andersen, CAE, who departed the association in November, just a year after being named to the #1 position.

    A 16-year association executive, Morris currently is EVP of the National Association of Federal Credit Unions, Arlington VA, which he joined in 2007. Previously he was executive director of the International Committee for Information Technology Standards, Washington, and the secretary-general of the International Federation for Produce Coding. Morris began his association career in the financial services arena as EVP of the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents.

    He began his professional career as an officer in the US Marine Corps. He subsequently worked in legislative affairs for the Secretary of Defense and US Sen. John Warner, as well as in other federal management positions.

    Morris earned a bachelor’s degree at Christopher Newport U., and an MPA from the U. of Kentucky.

    Andersen was named CEO in 2009. She had been ACA EVP and general counsel, and was with the association for 14 years. COO Ted Smith oversaw day-to-day operations while the search was conducted. Details:
