    Association News: 

    Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability second annual State of Giving Report found that cash charitable giving to ECFA members continues to be very strong, totaling $9.38 billion last year, a 5.8 percent increase from the 2009 level of $8.87 billion.

    National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, Nashville, Tenn., launched, a website featuring a central database of state licensee information on certified public accountants. The site is free and open to the public.

    Corporate support for green exhibiting appears to have tapered off, and economic factors threaten to inhibit increased adoption, according to a forthcoming survey of Exhibitor magazine. In 2007, 73 percent of exhibitors reported they would pay at least a 5-percent premium for green alternatives, compared to only 60 percent in 2011. Furthermore, the generally higher cost associated with green materials topped respondents' list of primary obstacles in their path toward going green, followed closely by the challenges of a weak economy.
