    Association News: 

    Information Technology Industry Council, Washington, have ended their negotiations with TechNet, Washington, over a potential merger, National Journal reports. The talks broke down over issues of governance. Both organizations say that they will continue to work together going forward.

    Technology Business Management Council, Chicago, has unveiled the second chapter of their interactive online book, meant to help IT professionals. Written by Council members, the book focuses on running IT operations as a business. The book is available on the iTunes Bookstore or through the Council’s website here.

    NTEN: Nonprofit Technology Network, Portland, Ore., have opened registration for their 2013 Nonprofit Technology Conference, April 11-13 at the Hilton Minneapolis, Minn. Along with educational sessions and networking opportunities, there will also be the first annual NTC Geek Olympics, whose events will be chosen by a vote. Potential events include Caption that Meme, Lightsaber Fencing and Chess Boxing.
