    CompTIA, Downers Grove IL, formed Unified Communications Community, a member group to help technology professionals take advantage of the newest trends in communications for their organizations. Details:

    Technology Association of Georgia, Atlanta, reported in its annual state of the industry report that technology now accounts for five of the top-10 Georgia export categories, and 35% of the state's total exports. In Fortune 500 companies, Georgia is first in healthcare IT and third in information security. Details:

    Computer & Communications Industry Association, Washington, came out strongly against the proposed merger of AT&T and T-Mobile, which is a member of the organization. The association said the move would hurt both technological innovation and consumer choice. CICA was formed originally over disapproval of IBM's control over the software and hardware industries, and previously fought to break up AT&T. Details:
