As Association Revenue Changes, Where Are Job Functions Concentrated and How Does Your Association’s Structure Compare?

AssociationExecs.com houses over 150,000 association staff profiles segmented into job functions including finance, information technology, marketing, membership, and more. With such a wide range of associations types, industries, sizes, and revenues, Association TRENDS wondered how those job functions changed from association to association.

Does the amount of financial job titles increase with overall revenue? Which associations have the biggest meeting and events teams? Which association size places a heavy focus on technology departments.

Association TRENDS pulled all the job titles housed in AssocationExecs.com’s extensive database, grouped them by job function, then looked at the percentages of those functions within an association compared to revenue. Below is a chart highlighting job function percentages across the association industry. In future articles, we’ll dig in and look at how these numbers change when segmenting by association type and tax status.
