The Second Annual Learnapalooza; Awesome Speakers, Accessible LMSs, and Award-Winning Association Learning Professionals
In 2017 Association TRENDS observed the significant lack of events that focused on providing training to the program, marketing, and education professionals within an association. Thus, Learnapalooza was born.
This second annual Learnapalooza took place at the National Housing Center in D.C. and kicked off on October 16th. The conference consisted of 11 education sessions over the course of two days with an interactive boot camp hosted by Community Brands on the third day. Some of the engaging sessions included “Powering the New World of Learning – How to Engage Today’s Learners”, “Virtual Events: A Strategic Must Have”, and, “Hidden in Plain Sight: Using new technology to uncover insight from your association’s conference session submission data”. Additionally, Learning Management Systems (LMSs) were invited to come and demo their software so attendees could test-drive the latest LMS technology. Imagine being in search of a new LMS and having the opportunity to check out multiple systems, see the latest features, and talk one on one to LMS reps, all in one place!

During the first evening, Association TRENDS held the second annual Learnies awards. The Learnies recognizes the role associations play in the development of their members and their own employees. Throughout the year AT asks associations to send in their best learning tools and success stories. A panel of experts then decides who is awarded a coveted Learnie award. Congrats to all our amazing winners listed below!
