Judge’s Comments: The HAI New Member Kit is amazing! The membership welcome kit provides the key information new members of HAI need to become engaged with the organization and to achieve an immediate sense of belonging. The welcome kit is the complete package because it not only provides the usual information, but HAI has brilliantly combined a tangible welcome kit with the extension of online and mobile resources including, members receive educational materials highlighting safety topics, a DVD showcasing women in helicopters, an HAI pin, personalized plaque, “Member of HAI” padfolio, and two items related to their new app, HAI Mobile – an elegant stylus and a mobile screen cleaner with a QR code. HAI clearly understands their audience and how to best communicate with them. The content is easily accessible. Overall, the HAI New Member Kit welcomes new members with excitement and in style. Very clever. Wish all associations had the budget to implement something similar!

The information is presented clearly and takes the member through the key legislative and regulatory issues that affect their industry and therefore, business. Like the inclusion of the, take action checklist, grassroots guide, the day on the hill and the legislative record. The issues guide outlines the issues and the actions – easy to read and for the member to understand the impact to the issues. The design is crisp and clean and ideal for this audience. The NACS Government Relations Kit is a well thought-out piece with strong writing and content, presented consistently and effectively.

The blue box is the complete package because it not only provides the usual information; members receive a USB drive pre-load with detailed content, an ISSA pin, access to further resources through QR codes, brochures to give to their clients, etc. The design is crisp and exudes who the association represents – the commercial cleaning industry. ISSA clearly understands their audience and how to best communicate with them. The content is easily accessible. Overall, the ISSA Promise Kit welcomes new members with excitement and in style. Very clever. Wish all associations had the budget to implement something similar!

The design is crisp and clean and ideal for this audience. The double business card slots are a nice touch! The PCI Members Guide is a well thought-out piece with strong writing and content, presented consistently and effectively.
