According to the most recent Census Bureau data, 18% of American households break the six-figure mark. Association TRENDS was curious how association salaries compared and looked at the number of association jobs paying $100,000 or more by state.
The Association TRENDS data team matched the association profiles displayed in our newly launched association information database, AT Insight, with organization revenue, salary, and employee data taken from 2017 Form 990 data. The team analyzed that data and created the following map to show the total number of association job salaries over $100,000 and the percentage of total jobs that were over $100,000. Noticeably high percentages in lower than average cost of living states included North Carolina and Arkansas.
